News12 Connecticut featured pointillist artist Steve Habersang for their Made in CT series. Host Rebecca Surran showcases artists from throughout the state in her regular segment that shines a spotlight on the talented creatives our state has to offer.

Surran was awed by the stippling technique Steve Habersang, also known as Habby Art, uses to create his intricate, detailed and whimsical drawings. A series of dots and dashes come together to create amazing works of art.

Illustrator Steve Habersang was profiled in Connecticut Magazine’s December “Made in CT” issue along with other local makers. Through Habby Art, Steve creates detailed whimsical pen and ink illustrations blending fantasy and realism, often inspired by nature and animals. In January 2026, Steve launched his companion design studio, Habby Design Co. “While I’m the creative brain behind Habby Art, my wife, Kristine, is the business powerhouse who keeps everything running. I’m especially glad they included a photo of both of us.”
